Vitamin A supplements

Vitamin A is a nutrient important to take for general health, as it supports many functions in the body. Vitamin a is a vitamin fat-soluble, but should not be consumed in high doses on a daily basis, because it can be stored in the liver.

There are two forms of vitamin A: retinol (preformed vitamin A) and beta-carotene (retinoids). Retinol is found in fish oils, in egg yolk, liver, milk and margarine. The beta-carotene is found in dark green leafy vegetables and green.
